Dominic McGonigal is Director of Government Relations at PPL, representing the interests of PPL’s record company and performer members to governments in the UK and abroad and working on improving the legislative environment for music and copyright. He is a member of the Broadband Stakeholder Group Executive (chairing its Operations Board), the CBI Europe Committee and IP Committee and UK Music. He was previously Director of Membership & Distribution and Director of Strategy & Business Development at PPL, looking after PPL’s 5,000 record companies and 42,000 artists, negotiating PPL’s network of international agreements and establishing PPL’s relationship with the performer organisations.

Before joining PPL, he was Membership & Media Director at the MCPS-PRS Alliance and while there, he was seconded on behalf of the music industry to the Department of Culture, Media & Sport as Music Industry Adviser. A musician by training, Dominic has over 20 years experience in the music business working for a variety of music companies and organisations.
